I decided i want to be in a team for my gaming design class my teammate will be joshua foley. Our games sort of go hand in hand , he was going to do one about recycling and I was going to do one on global warming. We decided to try and combine these games.

Paper Prototyping

When I started drawing for paper prototyping I thought it would not be very fun and boring , but it turns out that it is fun. Ive actually had more ideas for my game just by drawing out my old ones.

My Favorite Game

My favorite game of all time isn't one that I would say had ground breaking graphics for it's time , but it wasnt that bad. My favorite game of all time os Zelda : Ocarina of Time. What made it special to me was , it's one of the very first games that I enjoyed actually playing through , figuring out the secrets. It's a very nostalgic game to me , it brings me back to waking up in the morning , running to the TV before my sister could get to it , flipping on the N64 , and playing OoT all day.

The atmoshpere kind of brought you to this fantasy world where you controlled your fate and the worlds fate. It made you feel pretty powerfull , well at least it did me when i was a little kid.

The controls remind me of what an earlier hack and slash game would be like. You had a very simple set of buttons to press to controll all of the functions that your character did.

Not only was the game fun for me , It challenged me with all the puzzles of how to get somewhere or how to defeat a boss. If you have played this game then you know what I mean.

I was used to games like Super Mario 64 when it came out , bouncing around like a hippie on steroids and then it was like a big slap in the face , you were now the Hero of Time. Who controlled the fate of the land of Hyrule!

First Flash Mini Game+

In this assignment I learned the basic coding for a flash game involving a bunny chasing after a carrot. Learning the codes isn't all to hard , but remembering to close the curly brackets was a problem for me. The best part was getting to try out the coding for myself , to get to see if it worked.

I play tons of games in my free time , most recently I have Been playing Left 4 Dead , for the Xbox 360. I pretty much play it all the free time that I have and Im waiting for the release of Left 4 Dead 2 in Nov.
